Another School Year Completed!

A different kind of year

This school year , 2021-2022, started out with me in Indiana and on a journey with God.

It was hard for me to not be around our kids during this school year, however I had a great peace knowing I had a great team of ladies taking care of our kiddos. The school year started out with 16 kids and things went very well. Ashley and her team did a great job at keeping the kids engaged and focused at the task at hand. I am so proud of our kids for working hard and finishing out the year strong. On the last day of school our kids were rewarded for their hard work. Our 2 kindergarten kids graduated and our 2 primary 0 class kids graduated showing that they are ready for the next level of learning. Remus, 1st grade, received the highest grades and best behaviour taking first place in his class. Codrut, 4th grade, received 3rd place in his class as he closed out his lower level primary education. Codrut and Nico will be moving on to 5th grade which is in the junior primary section of the school. They are the big kids now.

When I got back to Romania we only had 10 kids left in school. Since summer is here some parents took their kids out of school to beg in other countries because now is the time most people visit and give to children. This is a big prayer point for us. Please pray for their  safety and that they will not get into any trouble or be taken by authorities into custody. This has happened before and the kids sadly get lost in the system and we never hear from them again. I know that God is in control and knows their every move and we trust they will come back safely. 

 

Summer camps and summer school will be starting June 20th-July 29. Summer is always busy with visitors and fun activities. We have many outreaches in the villages and with our youth. It is a time to walk through villages and spend as much time is needed with the people. It is my favourite thing about summer. No schedules. Just being with the people.
